Daiichi Jitsugyo VISWILL CO., LTD. spun off from the Kanebo Group in 2005 to become a member of the Daiichi Jitsugyo Group. We made a new start with the DJK Group to offer comprehensive service not only in Japan but throughout the world.
At the root of our vision system technology is a history of well over one hundred years, dating back to the foundation of Kanebo in 1887. Kanebo has made its contributions to the creation of better human life. One of the endeavors is the pursuit of the next-generation vision system led by Kanebo, Ltd. Vision Systems Department, the predecessor of Daiichi Jitsugyo VISWILL CO., LTD.
As the pioneer of image processing technology*1, the Vision Systems Department developed a commercially viable system of CAD (computer aided design)/CAM (computer aided manufacturing) in textile design three decades ago.

*1 In the early 1970s, when there was no such word as CAD or CAM, the department developed an automated system for designing textiles. Using a TV camera, the device could convert a design drawing (analog) into a digital drawing in 1/60 of a second. This was accompanied by another device that allowed the designer to engage interactively with a computer in order to design patterns. What is more, a sample was created on the spot, and any pattern that attracted an order would be sent to the factory in the form of a paper tape containing pattern data so that the factory could immediately proceed with product manufacture. This was the total system Kanebo had created.

Daiichi Jitsugyo VISWILL CO., LTD. is engaged in the development, design, manufacture, sales and maintenance of appearance inspection systems based on the vision system technology for pharmaceutical products and electronic parts. Our outstanding technology and ideas, that underwrite our top-level market share in the world, are making contributions in quality assurance and manpower saving in production through the high-performance inspection system which replaces human eyes and power of judgment.
