The Rubber Stopper Visual Inspection System, RVIS-FX, is the world's first appearance inspection system for rubber stoppers for pharmaceutical products that boasts a high degree of accuracy. The transfer system that aligns and stably carries rubber stoppers in irregular, three-dimensional shapes and the advanced image processing algorithms enable highly accurate inspection. The RVIS-FX is also equipped with inspection simulation functions that utilize stored images of defective stoppers as well as a networking function, thereby enhancing information processing functions to meet today's demanding requirements.

Features of the System
Highly Accurate      Inspection	Highly functional digital space filtering process as well as newly developed inspection algorithms achieve highly accurate judgment: defects equivalent to a 100 square black speck can be detected.
Image Filing Function	Images of rubber stoppers judged defective are stored in real time as bit map files which can be displayed on the monitor after inspection. The files can also be analyzed or categorized by a separate computer.
Novel Lighting System      for Whole Surface      Inspection	The newly developed lighting system provides optimum illumination for all surfaces of rubber stoppers in irregular shapes, permitting whole surface inspection.
HMI      (Human-Machine       Interface)	Parameter setting, system setting, and system monitoring functions as well as light quantity adjustment and online help functions make the system easy-to-operate for users.
Stable Transportation	A suction wheel conveyor suited to the transportation of rubber stoppers has been developed, which allows stable high-speed inspection with a processing capacity of 200 stoppers per minute.
Web Server Function      for Networking	The panel computer which displays various data also functions as a web server for networking, allowing real-time monitoring of inspection status and setting conditions via a browser.
